You may remember
Dr. Delicious Johnson From such movies as The
Bolimo The Clown Show or Psycho

to the Doc? He's still alive and well. He left the Swinging

Johnny Dam
|
Johnny Damm
is a national headlining comedian. He just got back from his second
USO tour of the middle east. he's been all over radio and television.
He's had several shows at the Improv in LA and in Ontario. Johnny’s
fast paced delivery, described as “Shotgun” by fellow
comedians, is just that… the punch lines keep coming, and
the audience gets no rest until he leaves the stage. Johnny Dam
has shared the stage with such stars as Carlos Mencia, Pablo Francisco,
Robert Schimmel and Craig Shoemaker, just to name a few. “I
have been very fortunate; I’ve had the honor of working
with my idols.”
A
military favorite, Johnny has performed at bases all over the
world. In November 2005 he was part of a USO/AFE tour that performed
for the troops in the Middle East. “I lost a cousin in the
Pentagon on 9/11 so I feel it is my duty to my family and my country
to support the troops any way I can.”
For
Johnny, it’s not only about performing comedy. He also teaches
his craft at the Ontario Improv in California. He has been teaching
and conducting writing workshops for over two years. “I
love teaching. It keeps me from getting complacent in my craft.”
Johnny
released his first CD “The Painful Truth” in November
of 2005. It is available from Apple iTunes, CDBaby.com, Towerrecords.com
and AOL’s MusicNet.
In
April 2006 he wrote and directed his first film entitled “Support
Live Comedy”, the first installment in a
series of five films |

Hobo Jazz
|
Hobo Jazz
is a Vaudeville-ish Blues-y Folk-like Jazz-y Band that likes to
laugh & have fun. If you like the music, you'll love the show.
Some
might call them a skiffle band, or that they play blues, hillbilly,
folk, jazz, whatever. They just say they're Hobo Jazz & dispense
with all the fancy words. The Hobos play the music of the contemporary
1930's hobo country bluesman. This is part rail ridin' music,
part field hollar sonnet. Part rock-a-billy cadillac, part 1932
Fordor Wagon. One part dirty hobo, one part hot jazz.
They're
Hobos in the free & vagabond sense of the term. Hobos aren't
bums, Hobos aren't beggers. Hobos want to earn their way with
various odd jobs. Never staying in one place to long, hobos lived
life their own way, much in the way jazz makes music it's own
way. Jazz isn't about a soothing horn over a mellow bass line,
it's about jubilation & excitement. The syncopation feeds
your jive hungry feet & the flirtatious melody makes your
jeans wiggle. Hobo Jazz is an honest interpitation of this vintage
joy that Hobo Jazz feels is best not left to history. |
